Easiest Retirement Budget Worksheet

The Easiest Retirement Budget Worksheet is ideal for planning a couple’s finances after one spouse passes away. The goal is to shield the surviving spouse from a major income loss affecting their lifestyle. The worksheet was initially created to calculate a budget while working and estimate income changes in retirement.

However, you can also use it to plan for replacing a drop in Social Security income. You may already be retired, but work through the worksheet as if you were starting another phase of retirement. The beginning pages guide you through the actual worksheet. With this in mind, when you get to the second section of the worksheet beginning after page nine, you will see that there are two columns, current and alternative 1/retirement. This portion of the worksheet is to calculate your income with both spouses living. The second column can be a “what if” column showing the income if only one surviving spouse exists. You can find The Easiest Retirement Budget Worksheet Below.
